A new community for women in trades and construction

Built with and for you - wherever you are on your journey.

We're building a supportive WhatsApp-based community for women in or entering the trades and construction, from college students and career changers to those already on-site or running their own business.

This is an early-stage pilot, shaped by the experiences and insights of tradeswomen across the UK. It's a place to connect, ask questions, share what you're learning, and feel less alone on the journey.

We know how important it is to be seen, supported, and safe, especially in industries where women are underrepresented. That's why this community exists.

What to expect

We're starting small, with two WhatsApp groups focused on different stages of the journey:

Entering the Industry

For anyone exploring or training to enter the trades or construction industry. Share questions, course insights, and tips. From choosing the right path to overcoming early challenges.

In the Industry

For tradeswomen and those working in construction to share day-to-day experiences, practical knowledge, and support. Whether you're a sole trader or site-based, this is for you.

Everyone will also be invited to the Community Hub. A shared space to say hello, share what they're looking for, and connect across the full community.

Code of Conduct

We're co-creating a space that's welcoming, respectful, and safe. These are the community guidelines we expect all members to follow:

Lead with respect

We're here to listen, learn, and lift each other up. Different experiences are welcome - curiosity, not judgment. Bring your questions, your experiences, and your voice.

Protect the space

This group is intentionally small and thoughtfully built. If you know someone who'd benefit, share the sign-up form - it helps us keep the space safe, relevant, and supportive for everyone.

Share, don't spam

We encourage sharing your work, your wins, your offers - especially when it adds to the conversation or inspires others. Just keep it people-first, not sales-first.

Assume good intent, care about impact

We're all figuring this out. Be kind, give space, and own mistakes if they happen.

No hate, harassment, or discrimination

We do not tolerate sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism. If you experience or witness harm, let us know and we'll act.

Speak up if something doesn't seem right

DM the admin directly if anything's uncomfortable or unclear. It will be handled with care and confidentiality.
